Friends of Africa Education – $120,000 Matching Donation
Seven classrooms are urgently needed in Tanzania and Kenya. The most vital need is in the Uluthe community. Over the last two years, Friends of Africa Education has funded the construction of 9th and 10th grade classrooms for Uluthe. However there are no 11th or 12th grade classrooms or teachers within a 10 mile radius of the village. So for the 10th graders to advance to the next grade level, classrooms must be built!
This problem can be solved. If we build the two classrooms, the Kenyan government will supply the teachers!
We know you have many choices for giving, especially at the end of the year. We invite you to place Friends of Africa Education at the top of your list. 100% of your donation will go to building classrooms.
Goal to raise $120,000 for 7 urgently needed classrooms in Tanzania and Kenya.
Matching campaign will DOUBLE your donation! A generous group of friends is offering a dollar-for-dollar match for the first $45,000 raised before December 31. Please donate today!

St. Margaret’s Academy, Tanzania
St. Margaret’s Academy is a nursery and primary school supporting over 450 students. Many of the students are AIDS orphans or live in socially vulnerable situations. Despite vast challenges, the school is academically ranked one of the top 10 in the country out of more than 14,500 primary schools. FOAE continues to build classrooms and provide educational scholarships for St. Margaret’s students.
FOAE supports four schools in the Uluthe/Mungao area. Tragically, 40% of the students in this region are orphans. The community is in desperate need of more teachers, classrooms, and school supplies. Not all of the children in the community can attend school because these essentials are lacking. FOAE continues to build classrooms and fund repairs of existing school buildings.
